OBJEKTE AUS GLAS
Alabastron. Polychromes Bandglas. Rundbodig mit schlanker, sich nach oben leicht verjüngender Form und einfacher glatter Mündung. Polychrome, teilweise opake Glasbänder bilden ein komplexes Wellenmuster. Östlicher Mittelmeerraum, spätes 1. Jh. v.-1. Jh. n. Chr. H. 10,2 cm. Restauriert.

Notes
Vor 2011 in Deutschland. Das Alabastron imitiert die sehr ähnlichen Goldbandalabstra, bei denen statt des gelben Glases Bänder mit Blattgold eingearbeitet sind. Bandglas war sehr aufwendig herzustellen und gehörte daher zu den Luxusgütern des Späthellenismus und der frühen römischen Kaiserzeit.
