Slabbed by NGC (VF Strike 5/5 Surface 4/5). Titus war der erste Kaiser, der seinem leiblichen Vater auf den Thron folgte. Er hatte sich mit der Einnahme von Jerusalem 70 n. Chr. große militärische Meriten erworben und feierte im Folgejahr zusammen mit Vespasian einen Triumph. So ist auch zu erklären, daß er wie auf der vorliegenden Münze als erster Kaiser seit Tiberius schon in seiner Zeit als Kronprinz den Titel Imperator führte.
