Ex Hirsch 306, 2015, Los Nr. 2353. Procopius war ein entfernter Verwandter von Constantius II. und Julianus Apostata und hatte unter diesen eine glänzende militärische Karriere gemacht. Als Valentinianus I. seinen Bruder Valens zum Mitregenten ernannte, verweigerten einige Legionen diesem die Gefolgschaft und riefen Procopius zum Kaiser aus. Nach anfänglichen Erfolgen wurde er aber 366 bei Nicoleia von Valens vernichtend geschlagen und bald darauf hingerichtet.
