Auf der Unterseite Hieroglypheninschrift: Der Verehrte in Gegenwart von Osiris, der Schriftgelehrte des Königs Huy von Hut-Heret-ib, wahrhaftig. Neues Reich, 18. Dynastie, ca. 1390-1352. H. 13,0 cm. Bestoßen, der obere Abschluß fehlt. Auf Ständer.

Aus der Schweizer Privatsammlung Dr. U.Mueller vor 1978. Amenhotep, genannt Huy, war der Sohn des Würdenträgers Hapu und ein hoher Beamter unter Amenophis III. (1388-1351). Wegen seiner Ehrlichkeit und Weisheit wurde er noch lange nach seinem Tod verehrt und in ptolemäischer Zeit sogar als Gott angesehen. Vgl. Macadam/Davies, Corpus of Inscribed Funerary Cones, Nr. 65.
