Ex Sammlung Morris. Slabbed by NGC (Ch VF Strike 5/5 Surface 3/5). Wohl 3. bekanntes Exemplar. Man nimmt an, daß Caracalla am Britannienfeldzug seines Vaters Septimius Severus teilnahm, zusammen mit ihm nahm er den Siegerbeinamen Britannicus an, den er auf der Vs. der vorliegenden Münze führt. Die Rs. bezieht sich demnach wohl auf militärische Erfolge in Britannien.
