Ex Sammlung Adda. Ex Leu 38, 1986, Los Nr. 359. Ex Leu 87, 2003, Los Nr. 121. Constantinus II. war ein Sohn des Constantinus I. d. Großen. Er wurde bereits 317 zum Caesar erhoben und folgte 337 seinem Vater zusammen mit seinen beiden Brüdern Constans und Constantius II. auf den Kaiserthron. 340 endete der Konflikt mit Constans um Thrakien in einem Bruderkrieg. Bei Aquileia unterlag der militärisch deutlich erfahrenere Constantinus und fand dabei den Tod.
