Das Vorbild für die Rückseitendarstellung findet sich auf Münzen des Octavianus-Augustus (RIC 256), die sich wohl auf den Seesieg von Actium 31 v. Chr. über Marcus Antonius und Kleopatra beziehen. Dies ist ein schönes Beispiel für die Tendenz in der flavischen Münzprägung, Motive der julisch-claudischen Zeit aufzugreifen.
