Hommage an den größten Sohn der Stadt. - Über den Medailleur, Heinrich (oder Henry) Oppenheim, ist nicht viel bekannt. Er ist 1827 in Hanau geboren und genoß eine Ausbildung als Kaufmann und Medailleur. Von 1865 bis 1901 wohnte er in Frankfurt, später, wohl ab 1907, in Göttingen.
