OBJEKTE AUS METALL Aufsatz in Form einer drapierten Serapisbüste mit Kalathos. Bronzehohlguß. Details wie die Locken der üppigen Haarpracht und des Bartes oder die Verzierung des Kalathos sind in nachträglicher Kaltarbeit ausgeführt worden. Die Büste endet unten in einem Fortsatz mit Blattmotiv. Römisch, 2. Jh. n. Chr. H. 10,6 cm. Intakt. Auf Holzsockel montiert.

Ex Sammlung Günther Schlüter der 1960/70er Jahre. Vgl. St. Schmidt, Wertvolle Miniaturen, Friedberg 2015, Nr. 18. Die Büste kopiert die Monumentalstatue des Gottes im Serapeion in Alexandria, die dem Bryaxis zugeschrieben wird.
